A National Advocacy Guest Speaker program to reduce the stigma of chronic pain
Chronic Pain Australia has launched a new guest speaker program called Give Silent Pain a Voice (GPaV). The GPaV program is designed to raise awareness and improve understanding about the issues for people living with chronic pain. This is provided through free presentations to businesses, health groups and the general community by articulate and trained guest speakers who live with chronic pain.
Our guest speakers
Our guest speakers are available to conduct presentations for community groups such as Rotary, Probus, Lions clubs, schools – in fact, any organisation seeking an interesting and informative speaker. The presenter will tell their story and help the audience better understand some of the issues for people living with long term pain. These stories are powerful and informative. Speakers will answer audience questions and adapt topics to meet the needs of your organisation. For further information please email us on

If you are living with chronic pain and wish to become a guest speaker
Chronic Pain Australia welcomes members to join the Give Silent Pain a Voice program to become guest speakers and tell their stories in the community. This opportunity will provide you with the opportunity to share your experiences and knowledge of living with chronic pain and contribute to greater understanding of the condition. It goes a long way to destigmatising the predicament for people in pain.
If you wish to become involved in another capacity
Chronic Pain Australia seeks volunteers with a variety of skills including business, administration, training, marketing and co-ordinating to act in a variety of roles to run this program. These volunteers are not required to be living with chronic pain. Roles include:
- Program Co-ordinators

- Training Day Guest Speakers
