The legendary Dr David Butler is on our International Advisory Panel. He writes that his organisation, the Neuro Orthopedic Institute in Adelaide, Australia, is holding a ground breaking conference in April. A must for rehabilitation professionals.
An extraordinary list of speakers for a rehabilitation conference has been assembled (www.noi2012.com). But critically, this material, some of it futuristic, has to be taken to the clinical battlefront – with lunchtime education and 22 workshops to choose from. Workshops include the use of art, movement, mindfulness, health coaching, therapeutic narratives, deep neuroscience, exercise, pelvic pain, spirituality, hands on techniques, graded imagery, cooking for pain, dance, illusions and nerve mobilisation.
This is a very different conference in content and mode of education. It is relevant to all health professionals who want to maintain best current practices. It’s a generous package which includes three, full, intense, entertaining days of intellectual nourishment, a dinner with some very different entertainment, “nerdy passions” and a bit of time for fun.
The NOI 2012 website has just been updated with all of this information and more.
