This could be a silly question, but are flares when you're sick normal??
I made it through Christmas pretty well, even had a few days with no meds (woot-woot :P )
BUT  there's always a but ... I've been fighting a cruddy virus the past few weeks and it seems everytime I get a fever my back and legs get all argy-bargy too.
Anyone else get the same sort of thing?? I'm confident that it's not just a symptom of the virus 'cos the pain feels very different to the achy-blah feeling that goes with being crook.
It would seem I have a new "tell" for when I'm sick, I crave frosty fruits. Don't go near them any other time. I still shake my head at the weird things my body does.
Anyone else get weird cravings??

Yes Brook, flares are totally "normal" when we get sick. I actually went through a period a few years ago when the opposite occurred! Unfortunately that isn't the case any more.

I don't know about the frosty fruits though :) I guess that cravings could be a part of illness too because CPers bodies seem to react in strange ways to lots of things.

Viruses tend to cause a lot of aching joints and sore muscles add this to a person already in chronic pain and pain levels sky rocket, that's what we have to live with, one reason why I get a flu and influenza shot every year to try and minimise the affects of the flu, the other types of viruses I just have to put up with.

 I'm not really familiar with what flares are...

Am I missing something that's obvious?

Di we are talking about flare-ups in pain when one is sick, how pain increases when you pick up a virus

Seems I can't catch a break healthwise. Doc thinks it's glandular fever. Awww crap.
