I saw the post on FB and thought I'd come and say hello
I'm a week shy of 24, I have CRPS (Complex Regional Pain Syndrome) which was diagnosed Feb '13 after 9 months of horrendous pain, swelling and colour issues with my leg that had doctors clueless and sending me for pyschiatric help, I shattered my lower left leg and ankle in a soccer accident in early '12. I have been through a few different treatments but unfortunately no improvements and slowly its spreading up my leg into my back and other limbs. I am currently under a pain clinic management team, with physio and GMI but getting frustrated to the lack of understanding at times.
I live up on the Sunny Coast in Qld, have three beautiful dogs whom get me through each day, I was a full-time photographer prior to my accident, but now just pick it up when I can.
Would love to get to know a few more younger Aussies whom unfortunately suffer with pain each day.
Cheers from hot & humid Qld!

Hi my name is Georgie i saw this forum on facebook,
I am 20 years old who has chronic back pain with 3 disk bulges. I have had these for 3 years and specialist are unsure how it happened...
I live in Gippsland in Victoria and often have to travel up and down to Melbourne for specialist appointments.
I have been under a pain clinic but after a lot of work my back improved but unfortunately after a stroke and a few injuries my back has flared up and am now under the guidance of a sports physcian with the help of my gp and physio... and am hopefully getting an epidural to help... It's really hard being so young amd struggling every single day and have lost a fair few friends as they don't understand how i can't do what they all can... but luckily I have a few family members and friends that are awesome supports
I have found pain clinics having a gopd support network of physios, gps and spec all working together it really helps
Hope tp hear from more of you and I can understand the feelings you all may be feeling especially those in your teenage years or hitting 18 years when "everyone" is partying

My name is Alicia,I am 21 years old & have been in severe pain since i was 14 years old. I live in Adelaide SA with my husband & two doggies
I previously had what is called Thoracic Outlet Syndrome (TOS) which affected my right arm, i was in severe pain & ended up not being able to use my arm which started when i was 14 i ended up having to have my first rib on my right side removed & that seemed to help.
Then 4 years ago when i was 18 years old my right arm started to hurt again.... the pain came on really quickly & has gotten progressively worse. I have nerve damage from the original TOS & nothing we have tried has worked.... we have gotten to the point that we are going to look at a (SCS) Spinal Cord Stimulator.
I always feel so alone even though i have the most amazing support from my husband its hard that i havent got anyone to talk to that understands.
I hope i can get to know some of you & find some people who understand how it feels to live with pain.

Hey my names charlee.. My pain started started 2 years ago after a car accident and only got a doctor to refer me to specialists recently which i seen today and had referred me to Dr terence lim which is apparently a good start in the right direction..
Only came across this site today which is excited to talk to people in the same position.. Mine however wasn't set on by surgery its from whiplash which now my specialist calls chronic myofachial pain with central sensitisation so basically my nervous system is sending pain signals which aren't really there and causing my muscles to spasm majorly when its not needed. At sometimes it spasms in my back so bad i cant even breath properly.. Not sure about spelling but yeah hoping to get into a rehab facilitation soon and get this stuff sorted out. It'd be great to talk to others in the same situation as basically feel so alone as no no body else understands unless your going through the same thing

Hi everyone, my name is Brenden, i live in Brisbane, im 25 and have had chronic pain in my forearms for the past 3 or so years. Over the past 4 months I have also had pain in both of my feet. No tests or scans have showed anything wrong with me which is one of the most annoying parts, i kind of just wish i knew what the problem was. I am forced to use awful medications with terrible side effects to cope with the pain such as endep and lyrica. Im glad ive found a forum where people understand what I am going through. It has a major impact on my life and coping with it is difficult at times. Im always up for a chat
