Florrie Murray Bridge has it's own Hospital and Tailem bend is only a short distance from there, Mt Gambier is a 5 hr. drive from Adealaide if you are taking the freeway route, which it sounds you are as you are going through Murray Bridge, 2 hrs down the road is Keith where you will turn off to go to Mt Gambier they have a hospital there, once you get to Mt Gambier it is only 2 hrs to Portland Vic, they have a public hospital, next is Port Fairy and then Warrnambool roughly an 1 1/2 hr away it has a public Hospital, no matter where you go you will be no further than 1 -1/2 hrs. away from a hospital, hope this helps you out, just about all the towns have a chemist. If you have Irish blood in you you will like Port Fairy and the Irish pubs it is a town built for tourism and food is a bit more expensive. A lot of our bigger country towns in the hills have there own hospitals and again travelling time to get to one will not take hours.

Hi Di,
I am a bit behind in the posts but just wanted to say you are slightly mad for going outside with the snake :cheer: I so wouldn't have stept outside for the next week!

Hi All,
looks like we might get some more rain today so that could make things interesting. Our river is already in a minor flood and roads were closed last week so it shouldn't take much more to creep into the edge of town. Many of the houses at the edge of town have now been risen out of flood reach, ours included. So we can just fish from the veranda when it happens. :cheer:

Have a great road trip Florrie! It sounds wonderful. I have done the GOR and I love it. Maybe try Googling a bit before you go and get the names of some of the regional hospitals before you leave. That will make you feel secure and not worry about it!
