I was diagnosed with d.i.s.h in 2007 at the age of 47.I beleive it was prevalent many years before than.
I have it in the cervical, thoracic, some lumbar, around the outside of the hip bone, in both shoulders and the left ankle(due to an old ankle crush injury).
Starting increase restriction especially in the cervical area.
Hardening of the ligaments and at the insertions is like having sprained injuries all the time.
I put this up so that others may discuss d.i.s.h so that I can learn from them or they can learn from me. Even if the discussion is just comforting.Try and be soecific to the subject, thank you kindly.

Hi Mcderm,

Welcome to the CPA Forum!

I'm sorry, have never heard of DISH. Not sure if we have anyone here who has it either, but you never know. You might spark up some interest in the subject.
I can understand you suffering. I have a trapped nerve root in my C4 joint. Lots of migraines, dizziness and pain. Takes its toll on my sleep, but I get by.
Anyway, not sure if

Take some time to read around the site, because there is lots of information and some of it just might be helpful.

Thanks Peter
D.i.s.h is similiar to ankylosing spondylitis, but disc spaces are normally preserved in d.i.s.h.
Some call it Forestiers Disease, however the two are close, I believe mostly the dish and forestiers is the same, I think it is the hardening of the ligaments nand at insertions .is the divider.I would need to research my saved research items.I have read a few forums, and envy anyone in pain or with disabilities and the untold sdie affects of such.
Kind Regards Paul

Note d.i.s.h is rare under 50 yrs of age, and usually in one area of the spine eg cervical.Rare for me again to have it throughout the body.My spinal system is in fact seems about 20 years older, so at times Iam like a 75 -80 year old.
Sorry about the upside down photo, hopefullt the admin can fix it.

I am the admin and I don't have access to that area of your profile. You'll have to try again. Make sure the photo is filed on your computer properly formatted, before uploading it to the forum, then it should work okay. I have never had any problems once I properly aligned the pictures or photos on my computer.
Just give it another shot and see how you go.
