I couldn't agree with you more there, its a topic often on a current affairs shows, opiod scaremongering, so gives viewers misinformation. Also I was talking to another GP recently, he said you'd be shocked the stats we have on age pensioners supplementing pensions by selling there pills, but they dont have the resources to provide enough proof, that shocked me, plus drug seekers. He's had to implement no opiate script policy, even though he does once he genuinely knows your suffering. Really thats all that needs to be implemented, compassion and understanding.
Im glad your daughter understands, can understand her view. As i was young when i first hurt my back and seeing peeople in pain clinics clearly overmedicated put me off taking meds for years.

Yes, people who sell their meds make me so angry. I understand that life is tough on a pension, on one myself, but if you're selling your meds, you're part of the problems caused by addicts, that so badly affect genuine chronic pain people. There is no easy answer, sadly.
