l am in my early fifties and have been living with chronic pain for ten long years. I have done three pain management programs which have helped. The best thing was to learn to except that l will have this Chronic Pain for the rest of my life and to make the most of my life. I have been to hell and back with medications and my latest Dr has taken me off all my pain medications and put me on Methadone tablets. I went through a really bad patch coming off all the medications however l don't regret it. I am having ketamine treatment every six months and are due for one in a weeks time. Living life now with some discomfort however it's a better life. Exciting things are definetly possible but it moderation.

Welcome to CPA we are a non profit organisation of complex pains and injuries , I am still learning and I have been on line for about 4 years , not knowing what your symptoms are makes it hard for us to try and advise you say you have attended 3 pain management courses and they have helped, have you gone back and looked at the things you learnt and see if you can use anything else you learnt.
as long as I wake up alive I'm happy
Because it could be worse

Hi tnjataylor@gmail i suffer from crps and have recently been swapped to physeptone tables and was on fentanyl before i asked my pain specialist to help me with a storger pain killer as 75mcg of fentanyl +2endone evey 4hours 1800 mg of gabapenton 40mg beclofen and 75mg of endep .was not helping i am having huge trouble feeding myself or taking care of myself in general i asked to be swapped back and my pain specialist said it was a good idea but my gp has said its only a option even the pharmacist at the hospital said that is a good idea he said i should have diludid for breakthrough pain but my gp has not taken it on board im sitting in a hospital now in agony my wife doesn't want me to come home until i stop climbing the walls in pain at home up all night sometimes for days until im exhausted all i need is enough pain medication to enable me to move my wrist n fingers the pain is a 9/10 or 10/10 it rules my life i have found an organization that is focused on neuropathic healing google (Michael moskowits) and with physiotherapy and having a psychiatrist plus orthopedic surgeon i think my approach this time as i have had this condition for 9years is a good holistic approach but my doctor is reluctant to swap me back to fentanyl but is keen to put up the physeptone wich i don't like and in my opinion is a crap painkiller
