Have chronic back pain & severe burning pain in left buttock, walk every day minimum 2km's. Am on tramadol 200 mg & panadine fortè but still in agony & find it hard to sleep. Any ideas people out there? Fed up & in severe pain.

Hi Dorynseagull,

I think I can talk for a lot of us on here and say "you pretty much described the symptoms I also have" and I wish I had a magic wand to fix it for you but unfortunately I don't :(

Do you have any other options to sleep in other than a bed? Recliner chair for example? It helps me on my worst nights. I also use magnesium spray /cream which took some time to get into my system but once I was using it every day I found it helped, Magnesium salts in the bath (or Epsom salts) before bed, heat packs, TENS machine. Just a few suggestions of what I use as I can't tolerate medications as I am highly sensitive so always have to have some other options up my sleeve!!! I also attend Physio every week, Hydrotherapy and Reflexology for my physical symptoms and a Psychologist as required for my mental health. Its a journey and if you haven't already been to a Pain Management Clinic I highly recommend it. You need a good team helping you.

I hope some ideas help, good luck and keep us posted.

Jo :)

"Just thinkin' about tomorrow
Clears away the cobwebs and the sorrow 'til there's none

When I'm stuck with a day that's grey and lonely
I just stick out my chin and grin and say, oh

The sun will come out tomorrow
So you gotta hang on
'til tomorrow, come what may!"
