Does anyone have any injury/syndrome that causes consistently sore (and tender to touch) stomach muscles? Since I hurt my back 5 months ago I have had constant back pain and neck pain and my stomach muscles have been consistently sore. When I sit down, it feels like my stomach muscles are working super hard to keep me in the sitting position, it’s like I can feel them ‘straining’. My buttocks is sore also and all over my back is sore to touch.
Is there anyone out there with similar symptoms?
Apologies for such a trivial question.

I'm going to see my kids walk down the isle one day.

Hi, it doesn't sound trivial to me ... and is one of the things i'm also dealing with without much success. Did your dr have any suggestions or have you found any help with this? i hope your pain has eased

Hi,
When I sit down, I don't get that 'straining' feeling anymore. I have been doing some core strengthening exercises given to me by my exercise physiologist which may have helped. I still get other pain though. I don't have any concrete diagnosis for may pain, my scans are essentially 'normal'. So my doctor hasn't been very helpful.

I'm glad the exercises have helped a bit. What scans have you had so far? Have you had any X-rays?

HI,
I have had an MRI of lumbar and thoracic spine; they showed bulging disc at L5/S1 but apparently it's not that bad. When I was seeing a chiro, he ordered x-rays of my spine and pelvis however my pain specialist and the orthopaedic spinal surgeon were not interested in looking at these as they only show broken bones, fractures, etc.
How are you travelling?

Hi Naty & sparrow,

Could I suggest you see a nuerosurgeon as they are more specialised 4 years (med school) plus approx eight years working under a surgeon and many years as an under study .
Orthopaedic Surgeons aren’t as specialised
Johnno

as long as I wake up alive I'm happy
