You'd never believe what i was told this morning. They cut the targin down again recently and i have had an increase in the times i take oxynorm. I then get accused of just taking them for the sake of it and that i apparently only have nuropathic pain. I have a huge scar on my back from the fusion and such. I also have a stim implant scar with a battery that stings on and off like vinegar on an open wound. But its just in my head. I wish there was a way to transfer pain to someone to give them a taste of what lifes like and then tell them hey its in your head. If only.

Hi Macca,

No idea why this attitude. But you aren't the only one. So many people are now having their medication either changed or taken away altogether. It's almost criminal.

Chronic Pain Australia is formulating media releases on these subjects, trying to let the world know what is going on and hopefully we can get the conversation going and bring some kind of sanity to all this.

What is the answer?
While ever there is all this attitude and paranoia around in the medical profession, I have absolutely no idea what it will take for them to stop doing this to people.

So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide, is what to do with the time that is given to us. (Gandalf the Grey)

Thanks for the response Peter. Its so weird. One minute my pain specialist was so good and understanding, next minute he's treating me like im an addict just trying to get a quick hit. It was his bloody idea to get me on now, 300mg lyrica, 50mg targin, 50mg ketamine, thos is twice daily and at night i have 50mg of allegron and 6mg valium. He pushed all of this on me and now all of a sudden he makes me feel as if i made him do it. Its crazy. Id hate to be in as much pain as i was a month or so ago and have him do this. Feel very sympathetic to anyone else in this poaition or worse.
