Florrie. When someone says "its been a wonderfully effective drug for me" its a great thing. Such a positive mental reinforcement as that goes a long way in helping. To know there is a medication in the cabinet that is reliable certainly takes the pressure off . I certainly would ask about staying on Jurnista and increasing the dose before i tried something else. That is exactly what I am hoping the pain specialist will support - an increase in my baseline 32mg. I was on Fentanyl patches prior to beginning Jurnista and my body was constantly getting far too accustomed to my doseages which kept on increasing. Jurnista was such a relief and quite a few Doctor's still have not heard of it which is a dreadful shame as I am sure it would benefit a lot of people whom suffer from chronic pain.

Florrie, I hope that the pain specialist will be on the same wavelength as you when you visit him.
I seem to be handling the whammy dose of Lyrica physically at the moment, but still getting my head around the enormity of the dose that I am now on. But I keep trying to tell myself that if it works successfully I shall be able to walk without the heavy limp from the grueling nerve pain which will give me back a lot in easing the physical weariness as well as easing the mental turmoil that the relentless pain causes.
I do feel that my nerve pain levels are reducing slowly on the 600mg, and hopefully the new cream I am trialling continues to ease my cramping muscle spasms in my calves.
And my spirit has been buoyed by the possibility that I may regain a little normality in my life. But I am remaining aware that it may not be the miracle answer to finally being in control of this blasted and debilitating nerve pain.

i am going to see my pain specialist next week after waiting 4 months and i am going to let him know my pain levels are just as bad and see what he has to say.i take my drugs around the same time each day.it would be nice to sit down to a meal and not have a whole bunch of drugs sitting next to your plate.i would like to just have a drink with taking lots of drugs.

Yes I have the same problem Titan55, but look at the positive taking them with food saves a lot of tummy upsets associated with taking them, the down side is when you can't two tablets at the same time because they don't mix and both require to be taken with food, I fix that by having a double chocolate smoothie

a double chocolate smoothie sounds great grappers.i know we have to take our tablets with food most times to avoid upset tummy's but it would be nice to have a glass of water or what ever with our meals and no tablets.that is life i guess.hope you are feeling ok today.take care.
