I have also have ketamine for CRPS and unfortunately it was the worst experience of my life . I also couldn't handle much of the ketamine over the 7 day in patient treatment... 1/3 of the treatment as well based on my reactions to the drug , it was an extremely traumatic time for me and not one I want to revisit . The specialist will not use ketamine on me again & I have had a few issues with my health since the CRPS to.... It did nothing for my CRPS an only made my mental health state much worse .
I hope everyone else has success as all I wish is no pain for anyone , to those with CRPS I feel you , it's horrific :-(

Had the infusion and I'm one of the lucky ones - I got relief! Not only for my back pain but also my arthritic hands! Bonus!

I have just got out of hospital after spending over 5 weeks in there, thanks to my Nuerostimulator dying on 27/11/15.
I was put back into hospital for pain relief (ketamaine and lignocaine infusion) about the 6th one I have had in the past 2 years.
I am extremely lucky that these work on me as they use it mainly to bring my opoid use down (1 box of endone and 5600mg Gabbapentin) per day plus numerous other pain killers
They could not repair or replace my Medtronic nuerostimulator due to scarring and infection in my spinal canal.
Until they work out what to do for me next I am living on lots of pain killers and injecting 1mil of Toradol twice per day.
I have only been living with chronic nerve pain for 5 and a bit years and with all the painkillers I have been on I am still on an 8/10 pain level.
Unfortunately I only had a upper are and shoulder joint which were the problems, but since removal of the stimulator it has now gone across both shoulder blade sections and my neck. I used to think the pain I had before was unbearable but now I just spend a lot of my day crying and I do realize that there are a lot of people worse off than what I am.
I suppose the worst part is the stimulator did hel as I was on a lot less medication and it brought the pain down to 4/10 and then to loose it all.
I am so extremely lucky that I have a fantastic wife and 2 adult sons who support and stand by me through all of this.
